The Shops at Columbus Circle

Time Warner Center

DGA was there as the finishing touches were being applied to New York’s soaring Time Warner Center in early 2003, installing highly customized security systems for The Shops at Columbus Circle. Our greatest challenge here was meeting a wide variety of specific needs while facing the aesthetic scrutiny of some of the world’s most iconic names in retailing. Our designs, installations, and service impressed a set of clients accustomed to delivering and receiving only the very best.

For example, haberdasher Joseph Aboud’s manager of retail and planning, Tom Hassell, said, “DGA has been a pleasure to work with.” To Hassell, working with DGA was important because, as he said, “We know that if anything happens, you will be here immediately.”

Mike Chapman, vice president of operations and security for long-time DGA client Tourneau, echoed Hassell’s confidence in DGA’s response capabilities, but for him, technology was a vital consideration. “We like the ability of remote viewing,” he said, referring to the store’s iWatch remote video surveillance system.

Fashion icon Hugo Boss also uses remote video surveillance to protect its Columbus Circle store, and when construction interrupted his service, General Manager Andre Butchey described DGA’s response as “fantastic.” “It seemed like DGA sent the whole company to fix the problem,” he said.

Other Time Warner tenants with high praise for DGA include luxury shoemaker Stuart Weitzman and custom shirtmaker Thomas Pink. We are proud to work with fine companies like these to protect their employees and stores, and we welcome their high standards. Exceeding these companies’ expectations lets us show off what makes DGA different from other security system providers.
