With GemControl, each employee is given an electronic fob to unlock displays and drawers. You specify which cases an employee can open and at what times of day. Wave the fob near the embedded reader and in less than a second the user is authenticated and the case is unlocked. Contrast this with the 10 to 15 seconds required for traditional locks. Locking cases is even simpler. Just shut the case and it’s secured.

GemControl logs every attempt to access a case—employees know they can’t open a case anonymously. In addition, if a fob is lost or an employee leaves, their access rights can be immediately revoked. There’s no need to rekey every lock to prevent a potential security breach.
