In the April issue of INSTORE magazine, a trade magazine for jewelry stores, Fred Michmershuizen asked several security experts for their advice on protecting retailers. The article, which includes tips from security expert Felicia Poppy of Jewelers Mutual and DGA’s Daniel Oppenheim, stresses the need to partner with a security company that has extensive experience protecting jewelers and that provides 24/7 monitoring from a UL Listed monitoring center.
The article also highlights DGA’s proprietary GemControl system for protecting display cases and drawers. GemControl uses a “fobs” instead of keys to open and close display cases and lets managers easily control and track access to merchandise.
