Elevator Communications

New York City code and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are very specific about the emergency communication systems required in elevators. DGA is New York’s leading supplier of systems that comply with these codes’ requirements.

Elevators are monitored by our 24-hour Secure Monitoring Center in midtown Manhattan, not an out-of-town phone bank or unmanned guard station. In the event of an alarm, the communication system automatically identifies the building’s location and elevator cab number to DGA. Our certified monitoring center agents summon help and stay in constant two-way voice communication with elevator occupants.
